The first and third parts of famous comic film The Karate Kid (1984 and 1989 respectively) were chiefly set and shot in the San Fernando. A Cinderella Story (2004) was also filmed in the San Fernando Valley. A true story that occurred in San Fernando in 2000 was filmed in Alpha Dog (2007). The most part of the movie was film in the valley though for some legal causes it was a somewhat fictionalized and showed the incident has taken place in San Gabriel Valley instead.
