After a decade, Thousand Oaks won the World Championship in the Big League Division (ages 16-18) of Little League in 2006. In professional sports, the city is home to the Sherwood Country Club, an excellent golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus world-class golf course is in Thousand Oaks.
